Senior GL accountant – Job description
- Manage the balance sheet and profit & loss accounts, including consolidation and reconciliation.
- Support timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare VAT/CIT declarations, financial statements, and statistical reports for several EU countries.
- Provide insights and analysis through regular reports to support other departments’ decision-making.
Senior GL accountant – Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with a few years’ experience in an advanced accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP, VAT/CIT rules, and non-deductible costs (considered an asset).
- Analytical mindset, high ownership, and ability to work independently; strong Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English (business proficiency) and experience with SAP is a plus.
