We are seeking a Senior Accountant who wants to join a international market leading company in Antwerp. This company employs over 10.000 people worldwide and has multiple offices across Europe. Their Belgian activities are centralised in Antwerp.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay updated with the latest accounting principles and policies, applying them effectively to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct and review account reconciliations as part of the monthly closing process.
  • Prepare and post detailed journal entries for the monthly close of financial statements.
  • Monitor and analyze revenue and expense transactions to guarantee accurate monthly recordings, reporting any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, providing the necessary documentation and information for audits.
  • Generate key financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and other documents that reflect the organization’s financial standing.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly financial statements and associated documentation in line with established schedules.
  • Evaluate and improve accounting procedures and processes to boost efficiency, reduce repetition, and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of quarterly and annual regulatory filings.

Your Profile:

Must-Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Oracle Financials Cloud or similar ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of MS Access and SQL.
  • Exposure to business process optimization in an accounting environment.
  • Professional certifications like CPA or CMA (active or inactive).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work across different teams and departments.
  • Independent worker with problem-solving capabilities, capable of taking ownership of projects and tasks.

Een dynamische KMO in de regio Leuven zoekt een gedreven accountant om hun finance team te versterken. Deze firma is de laatste 20 jaar uitgegroeid tot een vooraanstaande speler in hun nichesector van technologische oplossingen en onderscheidt zich op basis van hun dynamische en flexibele technologische oplossingen.

De Functie:
Als accountant ben je verantwoordelijk voor een breed scala aan taken binnen het finance team, waaronder:

  • Verwerking van dagelijkse financiële transacties en boekhoudkundige gegevens.
  • Voorbereiding en indiening van btw–aangiftes en afsluitingen.
  • Opstellen van tussentijdse financiële rapportage.
  • Adviseren van het management over financiële analyses, budgetten en prognoses.
  • Handhaven van naleving van wet– en regelgeving op het gebied van boekhouding.
  • Beheer van facturatie en debiteuren

Gewenste Kwalificaties:

  • Minimaal een bacheloropleiding in een boekhoudkundige of financiële richting.
  • Je beschikt over minstens 3 jaar ervaring als accountant
  • Uitstekende kennis van boekhoudprincipes, Excel en relevante software.
  • Je bent pro-actief en heb sterke analytische vaardigheden en oog voor detail.
