IT Support Specialist – International Bank (Antwerp)
Are you ready to take on a multifaceted role in an international banking environment? Our client, a prestigious bank in Antwerp, is seeking a dynamic IT Support Specialist who is not only responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of IT systems but is also eager to support the accounts and customer service departments when needed. What will you do?
As the IT Support Specialist, you will be the go-to person for all IT-related tasks at the branch, ensuring that systems are running smoothly and efficiently.
Some of your key responsibilities include:

  • Maintenance of hardware and software applications to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Providing first-line and second line support to internal users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Managing the branch’s Network, and acting as a liaison with ITFO and IBG for system-related solutions.
  • Coordinating disaster recovery tests and maintaining the BCP (Business Continuity Plan) site.
  • Liaising with Proximus for maintenance of branch VC & telephone equipment.
  • Developing and implementing IT security policies and business continuity plans.
  • Supporting the accounts department with tasks such as updating KYC files and recertification of client files.
  • Assisting with Internet Banking onboarding and customer issue resolution.
  • What you bring to the table:
  • You are legally authorized to work in Belgium (PR holder or EU citizen).
  • Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in IT or relevant experience in IT support/ helpdesk roles. ITIL knowledge is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware (desktops, laptops, telephony), network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi), and common applications (Office 365, Active Directory).
  • Strong understanding of Windows 10 and network protocols (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset, with experience supporting users in a service desk environment.
